Blatta lateralis (Turkistan Roach or Turks) are a popular feeder roach. Adult Blatta lateralis can reach up to 1 ½" inches. Once blatta lateralis reach adulthood they can live up to 12 months. Blatta lateralis also have the great advantage of being extremely easy to sex as the adult males have wings while the adult females do not. Blatta lateralis are fast movers, and may flutter a short distance. Blatta lateralis roaches are an egg laying species. Lateralis make a great feeder roaches because of their shell to meat ratio.
